- 2-1-1 LINC IS THE COMMUNITY'S INFORMATION HOTLINE
- 2-I-I LINC is a special telephone service that provides access to information about programs and services provided by government agencies, area non-profits, faith-based
organizations, neighborhood associations, special interest and support groups. Need help making sense of the many of government services? Dial 2-1-1. Need help for an elderly parent, depressed friend, or angry teen? Dial 2-I-I. Looking for a support group? Dial 2-1-1.
- IMMEDIATE ANSWERS TO REFERENCE QUESTIONS
- If you have a reference question (like "How far is it from Memphis to Miami?"), all you have to do is call LINC at 415-2700, come to the LINC desk at Central, or log on to lincref@memphislibrary.org. LINC will quickly find the answer in their extensive desktop collection of reference items - and send you on your way.
- COMMUNITY INFORMATION DATABASE
- With a comprehensive community database that includes more than 2,300 entries of community services, non-profit agencies. government entities. and dubs,
LINC can connect you with the help you need - from available programs in Memphis for a diabetic relative to day care centers in your neighborhood.
- JobLINC
- Find your next job - on the move! A mobile services extension of LINC, JobLINC is a 35-foot bus that travels around the city - to grocery stores, apartment complexes, community centers, churches, school libraries, and social service centers - helping people with job, career, and vocational training information.
JobLINC sponsors a variety of workshops throughout the year, from how to use the Internet in a successful job search to preparing for job interviews and developing effective resumes.

- A quiet place to privately consult with LINC professionals, this area also holds an impressive collection of brochures, flyers, newsletters and other
information about local agencies and groups for public information. Located at the west end of the second floor, the LINC Community
Resource Room also provides access to the LINC Community Information database.
