The Poplar-White Station branch library is located on Poplar Avenue between
White Station and Mendenhall roads, in front of the Clark Tower and White Station Tower office buildings.
The branch opened in 1964 and provides a wide range of material for all ages,
including a travel section, large print books, DVDs, and a collection
of books-on-tape and compact disks. The children’s collection features
copies of the reading lists for area schools.
Adult Programs
Second Thursday Community Lecture Series: Friends of the Poplar-White Station
Branch Library offer a monthly adult lecture series that provide the community
with timely and vital information on key issues of local and national interest.
Children's Programs
Groups are welcome for tours. Call to arrange a program. Puppet
shows and special programs for older children are presented every other month.

Computers
Computers for browsing the Internet (including email), accessing information online, or for
use with word processing etc. are available for public use. See the Internet Use Policy

The Poplar-White Station Branch has ten personal computers, all of which have
Internet access and word processing. A one hour time limit when others are
waiting is observed. No reservations required. An electric typewriter is also available with
no signup required for use. The branch has three library catalog
computers.
Doll Collection
The doll collection books are an unique example of the branch’s materials.
The
Southern Belle
Dolls club helped to build and maintain this collection.
